Barrell Whiskey Decade

Barrell Whiskey Decade is a monumental, ultra-high-proof blended whiskey that showcases Barrell's signature blending philosophy at its most ambitious. Formulated as a Winter 2025 release, Decade brings together whiskeys distilled each year from 1995 through 2005, layered deliberately to express how time, variation, and blending precision converge across a full ten-year span of distillation vintages. Distilled in Canada and made and bottled in Kentucky by Barrell, the blend undergoes secondary maturation in Spanish brandy casks and Hungarian oak, adding depth, texture, and complexity to an already historic composition.

Rather than focusing on a single age or finish, Decade was built year by year, starting with 1995 barrels and sequentially layering the following nine vintages, each contributing its own structural and flavor nuance. Secondary maturation in Spanish brandy casks enriches the whiskey with lush, syrupy dried-fruit character. At the same time, Hungarian oak introduces refined tannins, warming spice, and a silkier mouthfeel. Bottled at an imposing alcohol by volume (ABV) of 71.35% (142.7 proof), Decade is designed for experienced whiskey drinkers seeking intensity, elegance, and archival-level depth.

Aroma: Vanilla, caramel, dried figs, raisins, syrupy fruit notes from Spanish brandy casks, and subtle oak spice.
